Born Jennifer Carfagno in the state of Pennsylvania on July 19, 1979, the reporter spent much of her childhood in Collegeville, where she nurtured her great desire to be a competent pilot when she grows up. However, that passion died too soon, probably because as she grew she was gradually drawn to a new love for the weather. In her early years, Collegeville had 4 types of weather that caught her interest.

Jen was educated at Perkiomen Valley High School where her determination to be a weatherwoman was further cemented and before she even finished high school she knew for sure that she wanted to study a course related to weather. Based on this conviction, she was admitted to Pennsylvania State University to study meteorology. Hoping to become a successful meteorologist, Jen took her studies seriously, often waking up before dawn to examine the weather, from which she derived the forecast for that day’s weather. When it came time for an internship, she looked for a place that would boost her career and she found it with The Weather Channel TWC.

Career Achievements

After school, Jen Carfagno found a position as a full-time employee at The Weather Channel TWC in 1998 after a year of experience reporting weather forecasts with the well-known organization. She had gone to great lengths to stay safe on camera during her internship days, and the organization took note.

She’s spent over 20 years counting with the family outfit and hasn’t been linked to any scandal or controversy like reporters often do. She can be seen Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. and continues to report on AMHQ Early. She did this daily, accompanied by her co-hosts Jim Cantore and Stephanie Abrams.
