BIOGRAPHY
Mauricio Alberto Reglero Rodríguez, better known simply as Mau , is part of the Venezuelan reggaeton and Latin pop duo Mau & Ricky with his brother Ricardo. Mauricio began studying music at the age of four and began his career with Ricky playing in the Church, where they co-founded a band, with whom they played weekly. While they were composing, arranging and recording their first album, “MR” – as they began to be known – they joined their father Ricardo Montaner’s Latin American tour, where Mau was the drummer and Ricky the first guitarist. In 2017, the duo gained international attention with songs such as “Desconocidos” with Manuel Turizo and Camilo, “Mi mala (Remix)” with Karol G, Becky G, Leslie Grace and Lali, achieving notoriety on the Latin music charts. They were nominated at the 2017 Latin Grammy Awards in the Best New Artist and Song of the Year categories. We will soon see Mau with his family in the Disney + docu-reality Los Montaner (2022).
